Chicken Cottage International is a UK based halal fast food chain. Chicken Cottage International was established in 1994 as a partnership and incorporated in February 2001. The company is the Master Franchisor and the owner of "Chicken Cottage" brand. It's taste is modelled on a blend of South Asian and Southern US flavours using Halal ingredients. It currently owns and operates six locations in the UK.
The Company has 59 franchisees in the UK, 8 franchisees internationally, and now is expanding to Canada through licensing the trade name and trade-mark to Chicken Cottage Canada Ltd.
The Company employs forty people at HQ and at its six outlets. Twenty two employees are full-time, seven are based at HQ including the two Directors.
The Company has ISO 9001 - 2000 accreditation for its services to its customers accredited in August 2003 and has been reviewed and successfully accredited annually.
Chicken Cottage, one easily attaches himself with the fervor and goodness of the flavor and taste. I am excitedly waiting for it to open in Karachi. After their winning success from UK, they have now decided to spread their chain all over Pakistan. They have already achieved a great welcome in Lahore. Now let’s see how Karachites greet them.
They have chosen the same strategy as of McDonald’s, by opening their first outlet of Karachi in North Nazimabad, just beside McDonalds. Well that is a tricky step but we can always wish them luck and wait until mid Ramzan to avail the festive good.
